I has an ultrasound done of gallbladder and the results say i have a gallstone and hyperechoic at the tail of pancreas.
I went to my family Dr today who says its nothing to worry about that my blood levels are ok but ordered a cat scan to be sure.
But hes not a specialist and i am concerned of what hyperechoic means?
Do i need to worry about pancreatic cancer?
Im in no pain and urine and blood are ok!
I need someone who knows what this means to tell me if its serious or just inflamation or what?
Hyperechoic simply means that something is reflecting the ultrasound waves more than normal tissues. It could be an inflammation, or high concentration of something abnormal such as an abundance of minerals in the organ. Then again, it could be nothing at all. As long as your numbers are normal and you feel okay, I don’t see any reason to be worried. Doctors are notorious for being overly thorough and, hence, more profitable.
