Mesothelioma Cancer

My husband has pancreatic cancer that has metastases to his splee, stomach, liver and his right thyroid node. The gemzar has failed him and the doc has given him 3-6 months. He refusing to use the cistaplatin with xelodo. Now my husband chest is swelling up on his right side. He’s saying that he’s whole chest is hurting him. I am beside myself on what to do next. He has also refused hospice. Any suggestions? Thanks

question regards an aquaintance, that said two years ago that she had two mo to live due to pancreatic cancer, however she did not undergo surgery, or radiation, now says that the cancer has disapreared and she will undergo chemo for the rest of her life every monday, I am sceptial about what she says, as I have had family members that have had cancer , undergone the treatment of chemo, and or radiation, and none of them have to take chemo once a week for life, especially as she says now there is no sign of cancer in her body, I thnk she is out of sympathy, and from my point of view that is an awful way to get it.

Thank you to everyone with all the informative answers on this new road that I am traveling. My sister was dignosed with Pancreatic Cancer. She starts Chemo on the 14th and I need to know if she will be sick right away, within hours, days? This is all new to me. She is staying with me and I need to know what to expect. I have been diag with an aggressive pancreactic cancer and am receiving chemo…I am 10 weeks pregnant….I have to make a choice I guess…
