Hello, my father-in-law is 47 years old and dying of pancreatic cancer. He was told there was nothing more they could do for him and sent home to die about 3 weeks ago. Yesterday his hospice nurse told my mother-in-law that his liver is now shutting down (failing). I was wondering how long will this take and if and when the other organs will follow suit? If anyone has prior experience, maybe how much longer does he have to suffer like this? They live 1500 miles away and when he passes we will have to pack-up and leave to be there. I know this is all up to God, but I would like a small idea of what to expect next and what will occur over the next few hours or days. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks to all and God bless!!!

Days: The Kiriakis Family (long)?

VICTOR KIRIAKIS, patriarch of the family. A long time villan in Salem but has been trying to mend his ways for years. He’s had relationships with several women in Salem and has several children so I’ll try to recap the best I can.
1-BO BRADY-Victor is BO’s biological father. BO’s mother is CAROLINE BRADY, wife of Victor’s one-time friend, SHAWN BRADY. Neither BO nor VICTOR knew that they were father and son until CAROLINE blurted it out while standing between the two at the Kiriakis mansion. Son BO had a gun pointed at VICTOR’s head and threatened to pull the trigger. CAROLINE screamed, “don’t shoot…he’s your father!” and that was the climax of a huge storyline. The two never saw eye to eye of anything but began to mend fences years ago.
2-ISABELLA TOSCANO-Victor’s daughter by an affair. She was raised by VICTOR’s enemy Ernesto Toscano. Neither knew until she was an adult that Victor was her father. ISABELLA met, fell in love with and eventually married, JOHN BLACK. ISABELLA and JOHN have a son, BRADY BLACK, born just before ISABELLA died of pancreatic cancer.
3-PHILLIP KIRIAKIS-born via surrogate mother, VIVIAN ALAMAIN, his mother is KATE ROBERTS. Grew up with BELLE and SHAWN. Enlisted in the Marine Corps and deployed to Iraq, PHILLIP was wounded and lost a leg below the knee; wears a prosthetic leg. Fell in love with Belle and eventually married her. Raised Claire the first several months of her life thinking she was his daughter. She had been with Shawn before her wedding to Phillip so Shawn was really Claire’s father. For a while, SHAWN and MIMI (Belle’s one time best friend) were married. They (as well as PHILLIP & BELLE) were having trouble conceiving so they visited a fertility clinic. Long story short…the eggs got switched and Belle was actually carrying her and Shawn’s baby not hers and PHILLIP’s baby. You see where the problem lies. Phillip and Mimi’s baby was placed with a surrogate mother. Phillip’s son, Tyler, was placed with a foster family who later adopted him.
JUSTIN KIRIAKIS, while not VICTOR’s son, married a the sister of a Salemite. JUSTIN married ADRIENNE JOHNSON, the sister of STEVE JOHNSON and JACK DEVEREUX. They have twins boys and I believe another child as well.

He has pancreatic, liver and kidney cancer. the doctor said that he will not get better and the cancer will progress untill he passes away. the doctors didn’t give a time frame. He’s around 65 years old.
I’m asking people who have lost someone due to cancer. When the doctor said there is nothing they can do for your loved one , how long did it take for them to pass?

For How Long Should I Get My Term Life Insurance?

My husband and I are 30 and looking at term life insurance.
He’s healthy as a horse with no illness in his family history and is the only source of income.
I on the other hand have Crohn’s disease. My dad died at 49 of pancreatic cancer. My mom had breast cancer at 38 and now at 55 has secondary bone cancer and diabetes
.
So I’m going to cost a fortune to insure.
Since he’s the only financial provider so his will be much higher than mine. Should I maybe make his 10yr and my smaller one 20?
Also what is a good company to go through?
