I just want to know how to go a week with back/abdominal pain. I know what it’s from, I have pancreatic cancer. I finished my last round of chemo on Jan 3rd and I have to go back in on Jan 20th.
I generally have a high pain threshold and I’ve been doing okay but my lower back has been hurting a bit the last few days and got a lot worse today and moved to lower abdomen.
I don’t want to make anyone worry or go back into hospital yet because my parents have booked a week a way for our family leaving the day after tomorrow and everyone’s been looking forward to it for ages.
So my question is, do you have any advice just to get me through this week? I am taking my usual pain medication, thinking about increasing it but worry about running out on the trip and or being a complete zombie. Is there anything else I can do (preferably in private)?
I will go back to my doctor after the holiday.

plus some stomach problems, Ive gone to the doctor, they just give you antacids, they didnt even want to take an x-ray of my back area
they said it could be swollen sacrolitis, but they never want to do
extra exams, theres so many things out there that can cause back
pain, even pancreatic cancer, so you get scared just thinking about
it, specially when the pain gets bad, i know I have diverticulosis but
can that effect yur back if its infected, theres alo diseases that can
imitate other things. Ive gone to the chiropractor 3 times and all he
does is give me like some sort of electronic therapy on back and put
me in a bed that moves up and down for massage but he hasnt
actually told me whats wrong, if its a pulled muscle, or a pinched
nerve. Im in my 40s but I exwrcise 2 times a week and this has never
ever happened to me, how can you get doctor to pay more attention
its like you have to diagnose yourself almost. Anybody with same
symptoms, would appreciatre any advice cause Im kinda scared
about these horrible pains. Thanks

I have lame health, and I hurt, but my problem is now I won’t tell people about new symptoms ’cause I think they’ll make me hurt more, and I won’t let anyone stand near me because I’m so afraid they’ll bump into me… is there anything I can do to get over this?
have pancreatic cancer and kidney stones… pain’s mostly in my back and abdomen… my question is mainly about getting over the dumb fears I have… I don’t know… has anyone else been like this?

have a couple of medical problems causing this… yes my doctors know… i’m on great meds (fentanyl, dilaudid)… don’t like morphine… but problems are getting worse and i’m building tolerance, is there anything i can do for relief from home…
